However, did you ever take the time to find out why and what is the difference between the two, because most people do not, and this is in fact one of the most important things in terms of human health that anyone could know.

“What is cholesterol

Cholesterol is an important substance in our body, found in our bloodstream and cells. The body needs cholesterol for it to work well, and thus contributes to a number and produces hormones cell membrane.

The good cholesterol is also known as high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and that it is in our bloodstream. The reason for this is considered good cholesterol because it protects the heart of a stroke or an illness of this type. The appropriate level of good cholesterol is a minimum of 40mg/dL or more.

The bad cholesterol, which is also known as low-density lipoprotein (LDL) is bad because a high number of them can clog the arteries and causing an attack heart or any other heart related diseases. The normal level of bad cholesterol is 200 mg / dL or less is not to present a risk of heart problems.

How can you control and reduce bad cholesterol

If you already have high levels of LDL “bad” then the best thing can do is to consult your doctor about an effective drug that helps you to reduce gradually. There are many cholesterol drugs that are available on many natural remedies against, too. However, it is strongly suggested that you do not self-medicate as some of the cholesterol drugs have serious side effects, your doctor may only draw as he is familiar with your medical history and conditions.

If you have normal cholesterol levels good and bad everything you may want to do is make sure that it stays that way and you can do that by taking the following steps: eat healthy and exercise. Eating healthy includes foods that are low in saturated fat and trans fat and cholesterol.

Get in the habit of reading food labels, and we all have to provide all the information specified by law and therefore it is easy for you to choose what foods are good and which are detrimental to their health.

Foods that contain high levels of cholesterol are egg yolk, chicken, meat, seafood, butter and cheese.

Take a minute and learn about their levels of good cholesterol and bad , monitor food intake and your family making them aware of the importance and remain below the limits of bad cholesterol. A few minutes of self-education can save your life or a member of his family.

LDL cholesterol, HDL – What’s good and what is bad?

June 25th, 2010
HDL

The doctor spouts off your cholesterol levels in terms of LDL and HDL, is your brain off? You know in the back of your mind that you are good and bad, but which is which? Why is one better than the other? To understand the difference between LDL and HDL cholesterol, you need a basic understanding of how cholesterol works with and affects the chemistry of your body.

First, cholesterol itself – either LDL or HDL cholesterol – is not a bad thing. Although cholesterol is best known for its role in contributing to heart disease, is actually a substance that needs and, naturally produced by the body. For example, cholesterol is responsible for building cell membranes and to maintain the fluidity of these membranes. Cholesterol also plays an important role to help metabolize fat soluble vitamins like vitamins A, D, E and K. Scientists also say that cholesterol helps bile production, which, in turn, helps to digest fat. Although much is said about what high cholesterol is bad for us, we have to keep cholesterol levels mind is a necessary component of body.

Now, let us clarify the question of which type of cholesterol is good and what is bad. What your doctor is referred to as “good” cholesterol is HDL, high density lipoprotein, cholesterol. In fact, the good cholesterol is a little misleading term because in reality they are two forms of cholesterol. In reality, the company is good or bad. In the case of HDL cholesterol, which is led by a high-density lipoprotein. Some experts believe that this type of cholesterol is better for you because the company HDL carries cholesterol from the heart to the liver where it is metabolized and passed out of the body. Low density lipoproteins, on the contrary, in fact cholesterol deposited on artery walls, increasing your risk of heart disease and heart attack.

In general, your doctor will want your HDL cholesterol levels remain above 40 mg / dl. anything less than that puts you at higher risk of heart disease. LDL cholesterol, however, must remain below 100 mg / dl is considered optimal. Higher levels of LDL cholesterol put you at greater risk of heart disease or heart attack. This is especially true if you also have two or more risk factors for cardiovascular disease.

In spite of common knowledge, no “good” or “bad cholesterol”, only cholesterol. The carrier of cholesterol – whether LDL or HDL – is what determines whether cholesterol is harmful to your heart or not. HDL cholesterol is taken from the heart and therefore is considered “good.” LDL cholesterol, however, is the guy up in the arteries and makes you more likely to develop heart disease. The next time your doctor analyzes the levels of good cholesterol and bad with you, you know what you are talking about.

    Why are you overweight?

    June 23rd, 2010

You are overweight for the most simple of reasons — because you’re eating the wrong foods, the wrong types of calories per meal, and you’re also eating meals in the wrong patterns each day.

Think closely about what we’re about to tell you, since it’s going to change the way you think about dieting…

FOOD is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pills, because the FOOD that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT.   You don’t get fat because of a lack of exercising, that’s a myth.  You get fat because you don’t eat the right foods at the right intervals each day.

Also, the pattern that you choose to eat your meals each day is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pills.   This is true because your body is like an “engine” and it only needs certain foods at certain intervals each day, and if you don’t eat the right foods at the right times then it won’t burn those calories — and you’ll wind up storing those calories as fat tissue. (Hint:  You need to eat more than 3 times per day to lose weight, but we’ll show you the details later).

You have gotten overweight by eating the wrong foods, that much is a fact.  And guess what? You can get SLIM by eating the RIGHT FOODS at the RIGHT INTERVALS each day.

It’s not really any more complicated than that, and the way to start losing weight hasnothing to do with starving yourself or jogging.

    • Low calories diets do not work
    • Low fat diets do not work
    • Low CARB diets make you mistake

    Fact!

It’s insane to repeat the same behavior while expecting a different outcome.

What this means is that you cannot get slimmer until you CHANGE your eating habits to something NEW and DIFFERENT, something which you’ve never tried before.

For example, if you choose not to begin using this diet and you keep eating your same meals…….then you’ll be stuck with the SAME BODY forever.   Your body will not change all by itself, because you won’t wake up one morning and be thinner until you TAKE THAT FIRST STEP and try something new Click Here!
